Simply Minds were put together in 2008 for a once off gig by fans of Simple Minds music just for a bet. They played to a full house at Old oak and with the attention and support they got decided to have one or two more. Almost five years later they are not only Ireland’s best but acclaimed tribute act to play any venue.  

Impressed so much by their videos on you tube (simplyminds01) Simple Minds themselves saw and invited the Cork band to their Marquee gig 2009 and met and thanked the band for promoting their music so well. 

In 2011 John McGuire (singer) was asked to support Jim Kerr Himself on His Lost boy tour also which was a dream come true.  2012 was a break for the band who had other commitments, but fans and the greatest hits tour have sparked interest again in this tribute act. Many venues are suited for this show.  

At the last performance fans travelled from Scotland, Dublin and N.I. to see and hear this band. Close your eyes and you think the real deal is there.
