Something old, something new, something borrowed, something BLUE!

The Blues Brothers Party Band has, over the years, honed its wedding set list with the sole focus being to keep your wedding guests dancing all night long!

The show starts with a lively set featuring on lead vocals, guitarist Dave Blues and “The Fabulous & Sexy” Miss Sarah Blues. They perform the tried and trusted floor fillers - Dancing in the Street (Martha Reeves and the Vandellas), Footloose (Kenny Loggins), and I’m So Excited (The Pointer Sisters).

With everyone up dancing it’s time to welcome the stars of the night, Jake & Elwood Blues. The lads, accompanied by the full band, blaze through a lively and energetic opening set featuring their signature tune Everybody Needs Somebody to Love followed by Aretha Franklin’s Think, James Brown's I Feel Good and the Dirty Dancing classic Do You Love Me.

Ensuring all musical tastes are catered for Sarah Blues then performs The Isley Brothers number Shout (a massive 70’s hit for Lulu) whilst Dave Blues gets the younger ones up dancing with Sex on Fire (Kings of Leon).

Unlike other bands that perform at weddings, The Blues Brothers Party Band isn’t keen on taking breaks. The party’s momentum is maintained as the band effortlessly move into their soul set with all the classics from, to the uneducated, The Commitments Movie including upbeat versions of Midnight Hour, Mustang Sally, Rescue Me, Respect and Take Me To The River.

We were never lovers of 50's and 60's Rock N’ Roll, but hey it’s your wedding and you gotta do a rock n’ roll oldies set. Good Golly Miss Molly (Little Richard), Johnny Be Good (Chuck Berry) and Great Balls of Fire (Jerry Lee Lewis) follow. Enough said! The wannabe jivers and oldies will love it.

And the show goes on and on with Sarah performing Tina Turner’s Simply the Best and Walking on Sunshine (Katrina & The Waves). Jake and Elwood then pay homage to the Fab Four with I’m a Believer and Twist & Shout.

Still dancing? Well there still time for more with a brilliantly crafted medley of Ike & Tina Turner’s River Deep Mountain High mixed with The Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Proud Mary. As the show concludes your guests will enjoy our versions of the Elvis hits Suspicious Minds and Jailhouse Rock. The floor will be full for the bands final number as everybody becomes a Blues Brother and dances to Everybody Needs Somebody to Love!

During our show we perform over 36 songs from the 70’s 80’s 90’s and beyond.

Looking forward to being a part or your special day.

Regards, Jake & Elwood Blues!
